In memory of our patron, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II woven badge

This commemorative woven badge acknowledges Her Majesty The Queen’s significant role in Girlguiding’s story. Her Majesty The Queen had a long association with Girlguiding throughout her life. She first joined Guides in 1937 and earnt badges in swimming, first aid and horse riding. In 1953, Her Majesty The Queen became Girlguiding’s Patron. Throughout her life, The Queen embodied the spirit of guiding. Her dedication and service as the longest-reigning monarch has inspired all girls and young women in guiding to serve their communities, a legacy our members will continue to uphold and honour.We join the nation in mourning the loss of a truly inspirational Guide, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and we invite members to cherish her memory with a badge.
